Cut-shoot method allows rapid accumulation of radionuclide in plant structures. Scintigraphy of cut shoot reveals accumulation in stem and leaves. Note absence of accumulation in fruit itself. 99mTc-pertechnetate accumulates in unripe fruit but not in ripe fruit.
