    Transaxial 123I-IBZM images show cortical uptake and specific binding to D2 or D3 DA receptors. Striatum is well visualized with this radiotracer because of high density of DA receptors in region. Focal areas of activity inferiorly in image are external fiducial markers placed along canthomeatal line.
