SNMMI-TS Susan Weiss Clinical Advancement Scholarship
In honor of Susan C. Weiss, SNMMI-TS Past-President and former Executive Director of the Education and Research Foundation for SNMMI, the SNMMI-TS Susan C. Weiss Clinical Advancement Scholarships serve to support certified nuclear medicine technologists (CNMTs) who are pursuing clinical advancement through didactic educational programs. This scholarship is made possible through a grant from the Education and Research Foundation for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. Scholarship winners from 2012 to 2019:
PDEF Mickey Williams Technologist Minority Scholarship
The PDEF Mickey Williams Minority Student Scholarship is named after Mickey Williams (1940 - 1998), who served as President of the SNM Technologist Section (SNMTS) in 1991. This scholarship awards $5,000 annually to a minority student attending an entry-level associate- or bachelor-degree nuclear medicine sciences program. Certificate-level program students are ineligible. One- and two-year scholarships may be available. The two-year scholarship may be renewed for one year if the scholarship holder continues to meet all criteria. Scholarship winners from 2012 to 2019:
SNMMI-TS Advanced Practitioner Scholarship
SNMMI-TS Advanced Degree Scholarship (formerly the Advanced Practitioner Scholarship) was originally created to support a student who is pursuing an advanced practitioner program to advance his/her career in nuclear medicine. At the time of origination, the scholarship was only open to individuals who had been accepted into the Nuclear Medicine Advanced Associate Degree Program offered by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. However, in 2016, the name was changed to “Advanced Degree Scholarship” in an effort to be more inclusive and allow for technologists, who were pursuing other advanced degrees (e.g., master’s in health administration, master’s in business administration, etc.), to also qualify for the scholarship. PDEF Professional Development Scholarship
The PDEF Professional Development Scholarship serves to support a student who is employed as a technologist and is actively pursuing an advanced degree related to his/her nuclear medicine career. Funding is made possible by the Education and Research Foundation for SNMMI. Scholarship winners from 2012 to 2019:
SNMMI-TS Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Completion Scholarship
The SNMMI-TS Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Completion Scholarship serves to support current nuclear medicine technologists who are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completion program related to their nuclear medicine careers.
