At its meeting on April 27–28, 2018, the JRCNMT took the following actions regarding the nuclear medicine technology programs sponsored by the institutions listed below. Specific standards listed in this report can be reviewed in the JRCNMT Accreditation Standards for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Education.

ACCREDITATION EXTENDED

Programs in this category have submitted an interim report demonstrating that compliance has been achieved on previously cited standards, allowing extension of the previous accreditation award up to a maximum of 7 years.

Keiser University Lakeland Campus (FL): initial accreditation extended 2 years; accreditation conferred through December 31, 2020.
University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics (IA): accreditation extended 3 years; accreditation conferred through December 31, 2023; mid-cycle report due in 2020.
UMass Memorial Medical Center/Worcester State University (MA): probation rescinded; accreditation conferred through the date of program closure on July 1, 2018.

PROBATION

Programs in this category have completed a self-study and on-site evaluation or an interim report and have been found in noncompliance with JRCNMT accreditation standards. The term for probation is limited to a maximum of 2 years.

Loma Linda University (CA): probation extended 1 year; progress reports on standards B2.1a, D6, E1.3, and E1.1/E1.4 due August 1, 2018, and February 1, 2019. A focused site visit will be conducted after receipt of the progress reports and before the spring 2019 meeting.

VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL OF ACCREDITATION

This action is taken at the request of an accredited program.

Maine College of Health Professions (ME): voluntary withdrawal of accreditation due to program closure, effective December 31, 2017.
Beaumont Hospital–Royal Oak Campus (MI): voluntary withdrawal of accreditation due to program closure, effective December 31, 2017.
Stony Brook University (NY): voluntary withdrawal of accreditation due to program closure, effective June 15, 2018.

ACTIVE/INACTIVE PROGRAM STATUS

Inactive status is granted when a program has no students currently enrolled. Inactive status is limited to a 2-year period. Reactivation is granted when a program submits a report indicating that the program continues to be in substantial compliance with accreditation standards and plans to begin enrolling students.

University of New Mexico (NM): approved reactivation, effective April 27, 2018.

SUBSTANTIVE CHANGE REQUESTS

Approved:

Rhode Island Hospital (RI): changes to program mis sion and goals; curriculum revisions; and extension in length of program. The changes are effective be ginning with the 2018 student cohort.

INITIAL OR CONTINUED ACCREDITATION

The committee will review 12 nuclear medicine technology programs seeking initial or continued accreditation in 2019. Written third-party testimony may be submitted to the JRCNMT regarding any nuclear medicine technology program undergoing review. Persons desiring to present third-party oral testimony at a board meeting must submit a written request. Third-party testimony, written and oral, must be limited to compliance of the educational program with the JRCNMT Accreditation Standards for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Education.
