2004 ELECTION RESULTS

The members of the SNMTS selected Valerie Cronin, CNMT, FSNMTS, to serve as president-elect through June 2005 then to serve as president for a 1-year term. Karen Martin, RT(N), CNMT, was elected secretary/historian, and the proposed changes to the bylaws were approved.

New technologist delegates to the SNM House of Delegates are: Art Hall, CNMT, FSNMTS; April Mann, CNMT, FSNMTS, RT(N), NCT; and Frances Neagley, CNMT, FSNMTS. Mary Moreau, CNMT; Kathy Thompson, CNMT; and Keri Williams, CNMT, RT(R), NCT, will serve as members-at-large on the Executive Board.

Cynthia Luckett-Gilbert, CNMT, was elected to a 3-year term on the Finance Committee.

New members of the Nominating Committee are: Milton Lee Bates, CNMT; Ann Orenak, CNMT; Nancy Lynn, RT(N); and Christine Woodrum, CNMT. Lyn Mehlberg, CNMT, FSNMTS, immediate past president, will serve as the chair of the Nominating Committee. This is the last year that members of the Nominating Committee are selected in the general election. In the future they will be elected by the National Council of Representatives as described in the new bylaws.

As called for under the new bylaws, at the annual meeting the National Council of Representatives (NCR) elected a speaker, David Perry, CNMT, FSNMTS, and selected the following specialty area members: Brenda King, CNMT, FSNMTS, industry; Peggy Squires, CNMT, cardiology; Scott Holbrook, CNMT, emerging technologies; Mimi Owen, MHE, RT(N), education; Nancy Swanston, CNMT, RT(N), managers; and Lauren Rush, students.

JNMT AWARDS

The authors of 3 scientific papers published in the JNMT during 2003 were honored for outstanding contributions to the scientific literature of nuclear medicine technology. The first place award carried a $500.00 prize. JNMT Editor Beth Harkness presented the awards and certificates at the SNMTS business meeting held in Philadelphia last June in conjunction with the annual meeting of the SNM.
