Abstract
Teaching by objectives is an instructional method that has proven to be most effective and efficient for the type of material that must be transmitted to the student of nuclear medicine technology; it is the instructional method designed for evaluation by criterion-referenced exams. The knowledge-comprehension levels of cognitive objectives set forth in the Essentials of an Accredited Education Program for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist, revised June 1976, have been translated into application-analysis-synthesis levels of cognitive objectives to be used in the clinical environment as a learning tool to guide students.
