Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory (Ho et al., 2018; Hussin et al., 2007; Jing et al., 2018; Mustafa et al., 2010; Thu et al., 2018), anticancer (Babu et al., 1995; Hao et al., 2018; Hashim et al., 2011; Park et al., 2005; Sakonsinsiri et al., 2018; Zakaria et al., 2018), antimicrobial (Bibi et al., 2011; Jagtap et al., 2009; Mathur et al., 2000; Restuati and Diningrat, 2018; Senthilkumar, 2018), and anti-Alzheimer (Gray et al., 2014; Rather et al., 2018; Soumyanath et al., 2012) activity, wound healing, scar removal, stimulation of collagen synthesis in human fibroblasts (Coldren et al., 2003; Cotellese et al., 2018; Liu et al., 2008; Maquart et al., 1990; Tenni et al., 1988), improvement of venous insufficiency (Incandela et al., 2001a, 2001b; Pointel et al., 1987), and mental disorders (Gray et al., 2018; Gupta et al., 2003; Sharma et al., 1985; Shinomol, 2008) have also been reported from the plant. Further, C. asiatica plays a significant role in the global trading of herbs.
