Nucl. Med. Technol.1993 Sep 01; 21 AB - Working together as co-investigators on the professional staff at the Medical College of Wisconsin, the authors of this article have had over five years of experience in the diagnostic use of monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) for colorectal and ovarian cancer. We would like to share with you our approach to those MoAb imaging studies. While such agents have great potential for diagnosis and therapy, at the same time there can be problems and pitfalls. We present a practical and organized approach, which is the secret to success when undertaking MoAb imaging procedures. A complete review of MoAb technology and its application to nuclear medicine is beyond the scope of this article. However, a number of authoritative articles dealing with this topic have been published recently (1–12).
