AB This is the second article in the nuclear cardiology series. After reading and studying the article, the nuclear medicine technologist will be able to: (1) state the characteristics of thallium-201 as a myocardial imaging agent; (2) discuss instrumentation and computer methodologies used in Tl-201 imaging; (3) describe basic normal and abnormal Tl-201 myocardial imaging results; and (4) discuss Tl-201 imaging protocols including patient preparation, imaging sequences, and influencing factors.
