AB This is the first in a series of four continuing education articles on management. This article is designed to present the technologist with a clear understanding of new government regulations, reimbursement changes, and the effect on hospitals. Upon completion of this article the technologist should understand 1) changes in regulations that affect hospital revenue in general; 2) how these changes will effect patient service departments, radiology, and nuclear medicine; and 3) future trends and how they will affect health care.
