AB  - This is the final article in a four-part continuing education series on patient care and the clinical management of disease. After studying this article, the reader should be able to: 1) understand the different types of infectious viral diseases and their effects; 2) review proper technique for handling of infectious patients; 3) have a better understanding of the complexity of involvement in AIDS-related patients; and 4) improve their patient handling technique to reduce the chance of infection.
