AB  - Objective: The purpose of this article is to provide a comprehensive description of computer acquisition modes in nuclear medicine.Methods: The paper discusses each acquisition mode in detail, explaining when use of each mode is justified.Results: The effects of each acquisition mode on the resulting images are discussed.Conclusion: Knowledge of acquisition modes and competence in acquiring digital images is a vital skill for nuclear medicine technologists.
