AB Ventilation scanning using xenon-133 gas is a common nuclear medicine procedure used to diagnose pulmonary problems. Findings of V/Q match or mismatch and trapping are well documented for various conditions. The following case is presented because of the very unusual appearance manifested during the wash-out phase.
