AB The primary objective of this pilot study was to gather information to be used in forming guidelines for the development of a nuclear medicine technology training program and continuing education programs for the working technician. Questionnaires were sent to the technicians and physicians working in nuclear medicine in the state of Georgia. Data were analyzed by computer and significance levels were determined. Results indicated that there is no significant difference between test scores and registry status or between test scores and type of nuclear medicine training program. There is, however, a trend toward higher scores as the level of education and training increases. Recommendations are offered on the basis of data compilation and technicians’ responses.
