AB  - Radionuclide therapy with 223Ra-dichloride can be helpful for patients with osteoblastic osseous metastatic disease in the setting of castration-resistant prostate cancer without visceral metastases. This article reviews the indications, proper use and handling, patient work-up before therapy, and many of the technical considerations, including a discussion of coding and billing, along with pitfalls that have been identified.
