AB Radionuclide therapy with 223Ra-dichloride can be helpful for patients with osteoblastic osseous metastatic disease in the setting of castration resistant prostate cancer without visceral metastases. This article reviews the indications, proper use and handling, patient work-up prior to therapy and many of the technical considerations including discussion of coding/billing along with pitfalls that have been identified.
