About the Cover
Sagittal (left) and coronal (right) PET scans obtained 1 h after injection of 124.69 MBq (3.37 mCi) of 18F-FDG in 83-y-old man. The patient had undergone colectomy, splenectomy, and chemotherapy for infiltrating adenocarcinoma and was presenting for restaging because of increasing left abdominal pain. Biopsy of an abdominal mass that had been detected on CT revealed recurrent malignant cells consistent with the primary colon cancer.
